Lesbian Quest. Work continues on the second town and second dungeon. The stage needs to be set before the narrative strokes can be painted, but this is just like building Lego. Without instructions. Or any idea what the end product is going to be.

Lesbian Quest update: The third character, Ahn-Kori, is implemented and able to join the party. The second town and second dungeon are roughed in and being refined, and the third dungeon has been at least vaguely thought of. Some balancing done on the first couple of monsters and encounters, too.

It seems to be a dialog writing day! Today I'm filling in scenes after the first dungeon, that lead to acquiring the third party member (Ahn-Kori, the Hammer Puppy) and unlocking access to a wider portion of the map.

Slowly checking off the to do list items that lead up to the third character being introduced and added to the party. The last one is to do a run through of the game to that point and determine about what level an average playthrough will be when they get to her. Oh also, to name her!

I did some playtesting today! And encountered a problem. Character 3 wasn't doing any damage with her special moves! Her regular strikes were alright! But nothing from her specials. It took several hours of fiddling to find the issue, but it's solved now!

I managed to hold to not working on things Sunday! But today we're back in the saddle. Primary task for today: map building for the second dungeon.

I think I'm going to hold Sunday as a "no working on this or any other project" day, or at least try to.

I do not anticipate it WORKING, mind you, but I'll try.

Lesbian Quest work continues! The first boss fight has been implemented, and I am working on the aftermath of that. Once that's all in place, it's time to give it a play test and see how horribly unbalanced the combat is!

Well, I'm calling it a night, with a question to sleep on. At what point do I have enough for a v0.1 release? When the first dungeon and its aftermath are complete sounds reasonable to me, but also... that's probably only about 20-40 minutes of gameplay.

The other project isn't dead, but it is one I can't work on much myself at the moment. However, I can share a bit of concept art done by the absolutely wonderful @jenpallante.bsky.social for the other project that isn't Lesbian Quest, Glass Labyrinths.

So far today I've finished implementing the Mother Superior's initial dialogue tree, implemented how to give the player starting equipment and cash, and added to some of the maps. The initial map is in a playable state, but there is a VERY limited amount of content there, since it's the start area.

Well, it took longer to get started than I'd have liked, and it's not the game I was initially excited to work on, but here we go! I've got no game dev experience, but I learn quick and I have RPG Maker VX Ace and decades of writing experience. I will figure this out, and there will be Lesbians.
