We all know where this is going

The first panel shows someone getting a car because cars are making it too dangerous to cycle, the second, someone getting a larger car because they're safer in collisions, the third, someone getting a large van to "protect their family" and the fourth, someone installing more whirling spike clubs on their car in order to protect themselves from other drivers with whirling spike clubs.

I was playing VRChat with my girlfriend and found out that the tier list world we were in had a transit tier list. Here are my opinions 😌
A tier list of types of transit S tier: Trains and trams. These are rail transit for long and short distances. High capacity, quick, reliable (if done right), and environmentally friendly, but I also just think they're neat. Especially trams. A tier: Bikes and buses (articulated and regular). Bikes are great! I was seriously debating putting them in S, and maybe should have. VERY environmentally friendly, great for local trips. Not super great if you're unfit, but riding regularly makes you fit. A quicker, but more difficult version of walking. Buses are also wonderful. Cheap to set up and flexible, while seating many people, especially when articulated. Unfortunately, route can be changed easily, which makes them less reliable than trams. B tier: ferries, motorcycles, walking. Ferries are here cause I think they're cool, pretty useless in the modern era though. Most people just fly, as that is FAR quicker. Motorcycles may be a controversial decision, but the fact that you can see the rider, which makes it a bit more friendly than a car, somewhat makes up for the loudness. Walking is nice, but it's slow, and (imo) worse than biking a lot of the time. C tier: car ferries. It's just a ferry but worse cause it's for cars. At least they aren't producing emissions while on board, I guess. D tier: Cars and Passenger airplanes. Cars? Womp womp. Not F tier cause they have some use, and electric cars are alright. Otherwise though? Inefficient, loud, polluting, and all-consuming, not to mention dangerous. I am not happy with you, Henry Ford. F: Star trek transporters(?), private jets. The transporter is rough. It would score very high for its speed if it weren't for the fact that it's hard to say if it gets you to where you need to go or gets someone who looks and acts exactly like you to where you need to go. Private jets are stupid. They're cars on steroids. Super polluting, and carry maybe 5 people at a time, being very generous. Awful.

Bike rack at my school on the first day, almost completely full. Seems like it might be time for an upgrade, hm?
A very full set of bike racks. It would be impossible to fit more than one or two more bikes on them without beginning to crowd others and make it difficult to retrieve them.

A wide road with a zebra crossing. There are people walking over it and... *sigh...* waving neon orange flags to make themselves more visible to drivers... flags are provided on each side of the road. There is one person crossing without a flag as this is an incredibly embarassing scenario to be put in and she would rather be hit by a car than have to wave atound a neon orange flag for the duration of her crossing. Don't ask what happens when too many people go one direction and that side runs out of flags. for the record, these crossings aren't common in the slightest, but the fact that they exist at all is, frankly, embarrassing to the country as a whole.

I feel like after a certain point, you have to admit that pedestrian visibility is not the issue.
An American HAWK crossing. There is a four lane road, with two poles stretching over it, one for each direction of traffic. Each pole has two sets of three lights on it, which will flash red if a pedestrian presses the beg button on either side. Vehicles are then meant to stop, while the pedestrians can cross. The signal often gets ignored, though, despite the three unique signs pointing to the crosswalk and telling drivers how to act. A Canadian ped crossover. There is a two lane road, with two poles stretching above it. Each pole has a large, rectangular, lit sign with an X on it and two lights facing both directions of travel. If a pedestrian presses the beg button on either side, the lights will flash yellow, signaling motorists to yield to pedestrians. This, unfortunately, usually means not checking if there's someone in front of you and just going anyway.

Ok, first post because this has been bothering me forever, I HATE THIS ROAD. The trees are nice or whatever, but it's 45 FEET WIDE. The right lane of this road is wider than the highway (before it enters town and becomes 6 lanes)
