20 years ago, I published my first music album. I was working 8 to 5-ish (for a laughable salary) as IT tech support and driving hours to a remote home studio to get it recorded by Mike Dollar. I was dealing with debilitating migraine headaches, multiple times a week. I didn't know it, then, but POTS and ME/CFS were creeping up and making life harder by the week. I was also driving from Grand Rapids to Lansing, MI every other Friday, right after work, to pick up my son for the weekend. Then driving him back on Sunday. His mom would only meet me half way every other weekend. My job required a lot of driving as well and if a job wen long on a Friday, I might not see my son for a month. All that driving and took a number on my, already, struggling body and mind. Perhaps I pushed too hard, perhaps. I finished this album and sent it off for publishing and shortly after, gained full custody of my 10 year old son. Probably the best year of my life. Detached CD, on display. The, sacrificial, juniper bonsai that was used for the, Detached, album. Post editing. Alternate album and inside cover for the, Detached, album.

I've been battling POTS for most my life. Erosive arthritis started in my hands with Covid-19 and ME/CFS was triggered by a Covid-19 booster. I've lost over 120 pounds and have just barely managed to keep weight on.

Last year I won an award, appropriately titled.
