Not a permanent solution but, repeal the minimum markup law on gasoline (should drop the price/gallon 4-5 cents), and raise the gas tax 4 or 5 cents, with all that revenue directed to mass transit in the state. Probably looking at over $140 million/year in new transit revenue for the state.

Something that’s quite disheartening is the ‘starter service phase in plan’ for the Milwaukee to Madison extension. Originally planned as 6 rts/day in the 00’s, then 4 rts at the start of CID and to what I believe is now just 2 rts/day.

There is primarily one person in Wisconsin standing in the way of future funding and that is Assembly Speaker Robin Vos. He opposes just about anything related to passenger rail expansion, ESPECIALLY if it is to Madison.
