I went up to Scotland earlier in the year and took loads of photographs, and haven't processed any of them since July. Here's two of the five I've actually got to so far. Day one, a walk around Pitlochry.

Out and about in Northumberland today, and the soldiers on the battlements of Alnwick Castle are wearing their Newcastle scarves.

This little guy is having a fantastic time, buzzing about.

The sun is out, and the spring flowers are probably a bit shocked.

Grey sky. Blue sky.

And a door to nowhere. This was before the sun even tried to venture out.

A moody February day around Great Asby Scar in the northernmost Yorkshire Dales, looking towards the Howgills.

Tunstall Reservoir from a distance yesterday. We walked into the sun practically all day, so there was a lot of glare. And also sheep. Spot the sheep.

Went up to Weardale and walked 15 miles today (unintentional failure to properly convert km to m during the planning process, and also avoidance of a herd of rampaging cows).

Here is Tunstall Reservoir and some of its vast duck population.

I have been on a day out and just look at the impressive lack of snow.

Here Bluesky, have a photo of some sheep! Somewhere near Kirkby Stephen, back in September.

The yarn is very pretty, and although I did get some in a darker colourway (because I always tend that way), @thirdvaultyarns.com also picked out something lovely and bright!

Out and about in sunny Glasgow today.

And this is a sculpture of the Durham Dun Cow, who had also gone for a wander, and so showed the monks where to settle at Durham. It's not going anywhere soon either.

It is St. Cuthbert's Day. Our regional saint resides under this cathedral.

St. Cuthbert's churches litter the North East and Scotland, as when the Danes attacked Lindisfarne, the monks took his body on a wander. Twice.

He's been here since 999 so I don't think he's going anywhere at the moment.

Since it's nothing but drizzle this morning, here's yesterday's beach under a blue sky. At Marske, on the walk between Redcar and Saltburn.
