Feels like a good afternoon for some music. You can't convince me that music doesn't help heal the soul.

I leave you with a quote from "The Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius. This is not strength. This is not leadership. This is not good. Innocent people will die as a result of what we're seeing.

Yeah, this account isn't staying silent. I may lose followers for this, but I take this quote from Maggie Kuhn as the guiding principle to my integrity:

“Leave safety behind. Put your body on the line. Stand before the people you fear and speak your mind – even if your voice shakes.”

Internet has been out for going on ... three days? Four days? -- too many days now. Been "productive" with the net down. Finished up Twin Peaks: The Return, started reading this book as per recommendation by my therapist (I've been annotating *a lot*), and been progressing through The Witcher 3.

It's time to finally do this operation on my PlayStation Vita. The left thumbstick has a complete mind of its own, but I figure I might as well replace both while I'm in there. Using one of my trusty toolkits from @ifixit.com for this repair.

Wish me luck. I've never been inside a Vita before.

I'll give Tim Sweeney credit here; he's right about the unfortunate reality we live in being that Ai has become pushed in a way that enables and encourages lazy, dangerous, and harmful misuse. That being said, I don't agree with the rest of his statement about it being a net positive.

Something came in the mail today.
(Sorry to everyone who will be bothered by this; I know the image isn't centered. I swear I tried. It bothers me, too). 😅

I'm curious: What do you have installed on your Steam Deck (or Legion, Ally, etc) right this moment? What do you actually play out of those games? Have you finished all of them?

I beat 2 of these games, haven't beaten 3, haven't played 1, now playing 1, and 1 is still in-dev. Guess which is which?

@topshelfrecords.com is this accurate? $1,000 USD for the FLAC version on Bandcamp? 😅

@dan.nerdcubed.co.uk Reading "The Paradox Paradox" whilst listening to the FTL soundtrack only feels like it makes sense. Right? Right. Right? Yeah, right.

So I finally got movies set up in VR as of about a week ago. Leaving this here as a little time capsule/record for myself. The first movie I watched in VR was Paprika (Dir. Satoshi Kon, 2006). Ripped my standard BD copy and used Bigscreen via Valve Index/SteamVR. Now to rip my 4K copy of Paprika.

Had a topic come up in a class today: things that make you happy. I chose music.Music makes me happy. Music resonates with my soul. I'm not an artist, but I sketched a pair of headphones, iPod, turntable, speakers, and subwoofer to represent my love for music.
