But aging is a gift not given to everyone, so I'm going to accept this gift with gratitude and appreciation of someone who never expected (and never planned!) to be here at all.

I'm laying here, thinking about everything I would have missed out on, and I am so glad I'm still here. Growing up in the 90s, 40 was "so old" and getting old was something to dread. Wrinkles. Gray hair. All the Over The Hill party supplies and jokes about life going downhill from here. 3/

I have 2 amazing kids, an incredible husband, our own house that's ours, a chosen family that I handpicked and collected, and so much more. I have 2 little humans that have literally healed the same broken parts that once kept me from believing I had anything worth living for. 2/

We have to kind of watch out because he is lactose AND sucrose intolerant, which is so fun 😫, but he was willing to drink the almond Silk tonight! So we can try the chocolate flavor and see if he likes it. I wish it was easier to get tiny containers to sample flavors LOL
