How come not a single person has said they have been headed this way for years. I mean there’s Brandis waxing lyrical about how they’ve offended everybody without even a backward glance to his fight for the right to be a bigot. #4corners

The Forgettory is on at the Adelaide Fringe for just three nights this weekend.
The most lyrical of my shows, every word and every pause carefully chosen. There are tears, but more than that, it is also a reminder of the richness of our most precious relationships.

Adelaide your cool change is on the way (phone make it look a little more dramatic than it actually is, but that’s definitely it)

Hello operator? Complaints department please. And make sure it’s someone whose shift has just started because I’m going to be a while!

I’ve been putting it off for months, but this morning I took a deep breath and went to the bank to get some help with a few bits and pieces. The manager of that branch is an absolute gem of a human with patience, gentle humour who fixed everything and made me think I will stay with that bank forever

Fossicking through my scrap box and came across this. My first free motion sewing experiment, back when I was working out how to stitch the script of a play onto my unstitched wedding dress. Might take it out of the scrap box and frame it.

I am loving the newsletters I'm reading through substack. And I'm using my own page more and more like my blog with my blogroll and etc. But I'm honestly baffled by the overall model. I do pay for a few subscriptions but it doesn't make sense to me (economically or logically) to pay for a lot.

Wait! What? I just logged out of news for a few hours and … obviously this is a rhetorical question but is this US takeover of Gaza for real? Our government has quickly rushed to offer a statement of no support, right? Right?

Today, as on so many other days I ask myself, 'Why can't two coffees be twice as good as one? Why must the second coffee be only half as good as the first?'

It is my daily disappointment, balanced only by the fact that the love of my first coffee is profound.

If the Aust Govt does not denounce this immediately, we are complicit in approving ethnic cleansing of a historic level

How is it that I spend hours and hours and hours of my life putting my stuff away, and yet all my stuff is always all over the floor? I'm a tidy person, I'm sure I'm a tidy person and yet, a quick glance at my bedroom floor does not suggest that a tidy person lives there.

Is Dylan Lewis coming back to Double J mornings or no? The whole balance of my morning relies on listening to local or RN until 9 then switch to Dylan Lewis. It took me yonks to come to terms with Zan leaving and now I have to adjust again? Your target demo is old JJ! We can't take too much change.

I know in Kaurna Yerta / Adelaide it’s all about Chihuly in the botanic gardens, but do not miss the Gathering Light exhibition at the Jam Factory. I cannot stop thinking about these gorgeous works by Jessica Murtagh.

Thought I would treat myself to an hour on the couch with Insiders. Hahahaha. What a terrible idea. Except Laura Tingle. What a treasure that woman is.

I'm a quilter now! Gough's words feel more relevant than ever. The 'rage' part part is a mix of depleted oestrogen along with the truth that life just is rage-inducing now. But it's the 'enthusiasm' part I really love. Shake off my despondency, turn towards the potency of optimism.

The last week or so I’ve been completely absorbed by Madison Keys’ approach to her nerves. In no way would I compare myself to her in terms of talent or potential, but in my own way, learning to deal with extreme nerves and stage fright continues to be a long, difficult (and frustrating) lesson

Buckets of work to do, but decided to give today to myself as a holiday. And a good holiday always begins with a good breakfast. Couldn’t decide between gozleme and pastry, but I don’t regret my decision.

The last two nights have been my first time seeing live professional tennis. Last night was incredible. Seeing Jelena Dokic in real life and hearing her interview Sabalenka was my favourite moment. I love her.

That was a day. Gave too much to trying to work out settings on apps and etceterarrgh. Also thanks yo Tony Jones became a little bit more of a Djokovic fan today. Which is easier now I don’t feel like I’m being disloyal to my one true tennis love Rafa
