He told us that he’s got a porn addiction in his speech when he accepted the position of the US Speaker of The House. Why anyone is at all surprised by his actions on this issue in particular is beyond me.

The left isn’t so bad. These gross abuses of federal power may not be the worst thing for the future of American democracy because they expose how bad fed actors can corruptly exploit norms like “the presumption of regularity”. Courts & judges should weigh cases before them without bias.

Please note that Trump played a big role in getting all of those images placed in newspapers, magazines, tabloids and on entertainment TV shows. He engineered many of those publicity shots himself. And posed happily when the cameras were on him. Never forget that part.

Also, it’s probably not the worst thing that courts & judges are getting weaned off defaulting to the notion of “the presumption of regularity” when the DOJ comes before them. The separation of powers is stronger if the courts are unbiased about the parties that come before them.

George Wallace was a whole lot better at really taking care of his faithful voters than Trump is. That’s a difference with a distinction between him and DJT. Wallace was a loathe-some character, but he would never have given Argentina $40B while leaving American farmers high and dry.

They can’t do that without risking expensive defamation lawsuits, but members of Congress can read the names into the Congressional Record to make them public without any liability or risk of being sued into oblivion.
