I do want to note that in my head-canon, Lines A & J were the first lines in the system, opening in 1968 from Dulles to Alexandria and Rosslyn. Instead of abandoning the W&OD that year, the line is saved and upgraded for rapid transit, along with a spur to Dulles and an underground station there.
