The tragically ironic thing about this is that Trump himself, let alone many of his followers, evidently can’t understand that nearly every Canadian, liberal or conservative, receives this kind of messaging as a point of pride. The “rejection” is quite a compliment to our country and its leadership.

Seriously this is exactly why (I believe) it's always worth it to take the big leaps when you can, because with or without some known diagnosis like that, none of us really know how long we have. I'm an ex-pat too, every moment has been a blast and we have no regrets.

You can make a difference, raise your kids right, and be the change you want to see in your community anywhere you are, but...watching from another country tonight as an ex-pat, I know what you mean. I was born in NYC, and part of my heart will always be there no matter what, and tonight it glows. 💖
