#historicalfiction interesting to learn about the Japanese invasion of Singapore in WWII and its ties to Cornwall. I liked that timeline more than the present one and it was a little slow starting for me, but overall really enjoyed it 4⭐️! This is the first #novel of a trilogy. #thedistantdaughter

Time for some book reviews- I enjoyed this one, simple read, emotional- and I like emotions so there’s that. The characters were quirky & likable, a good book for exploring grief. I gave it a 4 1/2 (of 5). I like to always have a digital book to go to instead of “scrolling”, this was good for that.

Read #grapesofwrath after my son read it and really liked it. Amazing prose. Obs a classic, important story. Confession: was prob supposed to read it in school but young me had a strong aversion to reading assigned books. Ty Cliff Notes! :) #classics #booksky #readsky #steinbeck

Half way through #Erasure by #percivaleverett. I’m in awe, this author! It’s his third book I’m reading and can’t get enough. Plus… it is research for my novel in progress. :)
