#historicalfiction interesting to learn about the Japanese invasion of Singapore in WWII and its ties to Cornwall. I liked that timeline more than the present one and it was a little slow starting for me, but overall really enjoyed it 4⭐️! This is the first #novel of a trilogy. #thedistantdaughter

Time for some book reviews- I enjoyed this one, simple read, emotional- and I like emotions so there’s that. The characters were quirky & likable, a good book for exploring grief. I gave it a 4 1/2 (of 5). I like to always have a digital book to go to instead of “scrolling”, this was good for that.
