"Her?" Theron questioned. "Yeah... Xanthe. That crazy Sith I used to run with before the war with the Eternal Empire." Borias nodded thoughtfully. "My sister." "What is it with crazy sisters?" Andronikos shrugged. "One minute she's with me all like: I love you... and the next, she's like: hey...I need to go find my father, then goes wandering off, chasing after some guy named Zildrog." "Zildrog is the Sith Emperor." Borias stated plainly. Andronikos eyes went wide. "Oh, that makes sense. Aren't all you Sith connected to the emperor?" "Not all of us." Borias smiled. "I was the emperor's wrath, though I did not allow him to control my fate or my life." "Thank the stars for that." Theron said softly. "Now we can get on with ours." He smiled up at Borias fondly. "Yeah." Andronikos said. "So, I know you don't owe me anything, but can you help a guy out?" He looked at Borias. "If she's your sister, you must know where she is." Borias looked at him thoughtfully. "You are much better off without her." Andronikos stared at him, pleading. "Comon Sith. I've been searching all this time. I hate to admit it, but I love that crazy Sith." Borias chuckled heartily. "Suit yourself. We happened to find her frozen in carbonite two months ago. She is in our prison." He glanced at Hylo. She nodded. "Comon. I'll show you to the prison."

The Sergeant said. "We can't be caught here." His subordinate grabbed the box from the countertop. "That's it Sarge. I got all of them." "I don't think that would be a problem now." another said. "Now that the President is dead, we won't have anyone checking up on us." "Oh won't we?" the Sergeant replied. The vice president is no better than Nino. In fact, I think he is actually worse." The young soldier held the box like it was a treasure chest. "I...um... do you think this stuff actually works Sarge?" The Sergeant looked into the box with the syringes and the yellow fluid. he frowned. "I'm not sure, but I suppose we'll have to take that risk. too many people are dying and that professor and his assistant I am assuming are dead." "The lab assistant died." The other soldier said. "That was on the news two weeks ago. We haven't heard anything more about the professor though. maybe he's out there somewhere." The Sergeant shrugged. Once the stronghold of Lord Borias, it had stood dormant for years, silent halls gathering dust, security droids locked in idle patrol cycles. Now, for the first time in a long while, the place stirred with signs of life. Brey'enne walked through the grand foyer with a datapad clutched in one hand. , scanning through assignment briefs forwarded from the SIS. Her father had made it clear: if she was to stay here, she would also serve. She knocked him out of the way, shoving him back. "Until you learn the ways if the Sith, you are still a Jedi scum." "But they said I am dark. Does that not make me a Sith?" The Chiss shook her thick mane of midnight blue hair streaked with white. "No. A Jedi can also be Dark. It does not make them a Sith." "So all these Padawans that they bring here for training because they are like me does not make them Sith?" "Listen, being a Sith is not just being dark and embracing the dark side of the force. It is much more than that." The deep red eyes looked deeply into his bright blue ones. "Recite the code." He looked curiously at her. "Why?" "Just do it. The code is part of the Sith way. It is our focus, our lifestyle. The force is only a part of that." Borias nodded. "Peace is a lie. There is only passion..." "There is no emotion, only peace..." Xanthe countered. "You see, the Jedi teach peace and coldness. That is why they do not have families." "No. It is because they believe that attachments are a weakness. Braxton's mind was still echoing with two names- Shenstien and Ashcroft. He closed his sketchbook slowly "Oh, Nothing," he lied. But his blue eyes betrayed the storm building behind them. Braxton spread the foreign papers across the desk. German headlines, bold and black. French columns, tight and hurried. And always, the same name surfacing between the lines. Shenstien. Ashcroft's name lingered nearby in footnotes and speculation, as if the professor were a ghost haunting the margins of history. Behind him, Amelia's voice drifted like smoke. "Reading foreign papers will only sour your stomach. Best leave such things to those who thrive on worry." Braxton didn't turn. His hand tightened on the newsprint, smudging ink across his fingers. "He was more than a meddler, Aunt. He saw me." "No, it's not wrong. Twenty years of your life were stolen away from you. And the years after... you weren't living, not really. You were surviving, going through the motions, trying to figure out what you were even allowed to be." Her golden eyes flicked to him, wary, searching. He stepped closer, gentle, his sapphire gaze never wavering. "That doesn't make you old, Vaylin. It makes you unfinished. You still have everything in front of you. You just... never had anyone to remind you of that." The tightness in her arms loosened. For the first time, she looked at him not with fear or defiance, but with something achingly human - the longing to believe he might be right. Aquilan frowned, his sapphire eyes steady. "You don't have to know. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be you." Her gaze faltered, torn between longing and fear. "You don't understand. I was caged before I even came of age. Nathema, Valkorion-" her voice caught, trembling. "He stole everything from me. Childhood. Freedom. Even this. I'm... too old for this, Aquilan. You're barely older than I was when he locked me away." Aquilan took a careful step closer, not pressing, only offering. "Then let me give it back to you. What he stole. Not as a student. Not as a warrior. Just... as someone who cares." Her lips parted, trembling. She turned her face away, as if afraid to believe him, afraid to want more. Yet in her golden eyes, that fragile spark of hope still glimmered — the piece of her Valkorion had never managed to crush.

Tthe other Jedi in the small room waited expectancy, watching as Elleanna gave birth. One of the Padawans cradled a bronze skinned baby boy in her arms, his head crowned with thick black hair. "Well done." the Midwife pulled the infant from Elleanna's body, then promptly spanked it, releasing the phlegm from his throat. The child cried loudly. "Another fine healthy boy." she said. Elleanna passed out from the exhaustion. Master Alleyah dabbed her face with a cloth while the Midwife handed the baby to the other girl standing by the birthing bed. The Midwife cleared away the bloody sheets, then finished cleaning up. Master Alleyah helped her to cover up Elleanna's body with clean linens. "She should rest now." Master Alleyah said softly. The girl with the first baby looked at the figure on the bed thoughtfully. " is she okay?" The Midwife chuckled softly. "as well as she can be for birthing twins." The aged Miraluka smiled. "She's a fighter that one." The red haired Padawan hugged the second boy closely. "What shall we do now?" Master Alleyah sighed. Her bright green eyes creased with concern, her lavender cheeks dropped into a frown. "Now that the boys are born, I am sure their father shall come searching for them." The green skinned girl held the first boy thoughtfully. "Isn't their father a Sith? Master Alleyah frowned. "He is a very powerful Sith Lord I am told." "Indeed he is, and I shall try very hard to keep him away from my sister." Master Amethesta appeared at the doorway to the small structure. "I have heard about Sith." Master Alleyah said. "this one is just as horrible as people say." Amethesta came up to the Padawans with the babies. "It looks like doctor Kimball was right. Two beautiful boys." "Boys that will need to be closely watched in the event that their father comes to collect them." Master Alleyah said sternly. "They are safe here, Master Satele said, coming into the room behind Master Amethesta. “But I am concerned for them nonetheless.”

They rode along the Champs d'Elysees, which would turn south and east and ending At the rear entrance to the courtyard of the Palais Louvre where the King and their friends would be waiting. Many people waved to them as they rode by. Soldiers smiled as they wondered who it was that was riding in the coach. Of course, all of the Musketeers and their friends in the guard knew and cheered as the two familiar faces rode past them. Isaac and Charles were enjoying the extra attention given to them, and smiled, waving to the other men in their company. Charles thought that he spotted a familiar face in the crowd of Musketeers and citizens along the street. The man was pushing his way through the crowd toward the street. The crowd grew and he struggled to get closer. As he did, Charles noticed that it was his brother Danielle. It had been two years since the brothers had seen one another. Danielle had left home to Join the Musketeers upon his eighteenth birthday ten years hence. "Danielle!" Charles called to his older brother. Isaac turned to look. "Who is that?" "That is my brother Danielle." Charles pointed toward him. "How many siblings do you have?" Isaac said, aghast. Charles went through the list, counting on his fingers. "Well, you know Sauvignon and Juliette and have met Paul. I have a sister Anjeline, who is married to the duke d'Lyon and there was my sister Jeanne, who died as a child and this, is Danielle." He said as Danielle approached them. He jumped out into the street, his Musketeer tunic whipping behind him as he rushed up to Charles. "Charles!" Danielle clasped his brother's hand as he trotted along. "It is good to see you." "I am happy to see you too brother." Charles said warmly.

Footsteps approached. From the shadows emerged a small Majiri woman, her raven hair catching the dim light, her keen eyes scanning him with equal parts caution and curiosity. A huge, round companion hovered over her shoulder; smooth bronze metal, glowing eyes, its movements unnervingly precise. The young purple face gasped, not believing what she saw. "You're... human." Her voice pulled him out of his daze. He sat up slowly, realizing his hands were trembling. "So the legends are true. You really DO exist!" She exclaimed, staring at him beneath the big round glasses. She was like an excited child that had just found her first treasure ; something that everyone had told her didn't exist, but it actually did. She stepped forward looking at the stranger in front of her and extended an amethyst hand to help him up off the cold stone floor. "I'm Jina. I'm the archaeologist here Kilima Village." "I'm..." For a moment, he hesitated, his soft voice caught in his throat. His true name felt heavy on his tongue-too heavy for this strange, alien place. Instead, he gave her a small piece of it. "...Ame," he said at last, taking the purple hand extended out to him, helping him up. "Welcome to Palia, Ame," she said. "It seems that you have a great deal to catch up on." Somewhere behind him, the rift sealed shut with a soft whump. And in that instant, he knew there was no going back...
