@tom4141tom.bsky.social I must protest this escalation in transportation methods. And raise. 😉

I’m laughing. Sitting watching the new Superman movie. I had left the theater to use the facilities at the show, so I missed the credits which I typically hang around for.

And this comes up when I rewatch. 😉

Happy birthday to the Emperor of the French, Napoleon Bonaparte! Doesn’t look a day over 256 years old. 😉

Love him or hate him, we’re still talking about him, his impact then, and his impacts upon our world now.

Tim’s Slow Readers stabs ahead 😉

Today’s entry is @robwhart.bsky.social Assassin’s Anonymous. Lots of action, snark, and a small amount of redemption. There’s already a sequel out. A fun, easy read. 👍👍

226 yrs ago, French soldiers were clearing rubble from a collapsed building. Capt. Bouchard says “Wait a minute, guys. What’s those scribbles on that rock?”

With that, a new field of archeology is born. All thanks to Napoleon being stubborn, opportunistic, & forward thinking 😉

Finally back home. Old Bedford Village, Bedford, PA. A nice place to visit, take shots at/from the British. 😉

Tim’s Slow Readers Club marches on!
@wiswell.bsky.social ‘s Someone You Can Build a Nest In.

A wonderful book where you’re actively rooting for the monster right from the start. Touching, loving, funny. 👍👍

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

Another Tim’s Slow Readers Club. Money, Power, and the People by Christopher W. Shaw. It’s primarily about banking in the 1900-1930’s. The topic caught my eye b/c of my work & being a history nerd.

While interesting at times to me, it’s a slog of a read. Certain points are beaten until dead. 👍

I’ll see you and “raise” with the Claiborne Bridge. 🙄
May 19, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Is the Claiborne Bridge supposed to do this? 🙄

Tim’s Slow Reader’s Club slowly moves on. Another fun romp, laughed out loud multiple times is @djangowexler.bsky.social ‘s How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying. Snark set at 11. Wouldn’t let me put it back down. 👍👍

The empty Louvre, compared to when my wife and I were there 😉

I’m always late on these, but I enjoyed Captain America #14.

The writing where depth is given to characters. Where there’s a backstory you never knew, but resonates when you read it. All wrapped up in a semi-return of a Warriors Three tale. 👍👍

@tom4141tom.bsky.social did you leave the freezer door open up there? It’s piling up down here 😉🥶 #nolasnow
