Oscar Wilde on valuation:

What is a cynic?

A man who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing.

And a sentimentalist... is a man who sees an absurd value in everything and doesn’t know the market price of any single thing.

I wish more financial planners warn their clients about this - just say "no" to RE Syndication

Three reasons -
huge upfront investment (typically >$25,000), illiquid, complex legal/tax setup

Don't get entangled

If you want RE exposure, consider RE ETFs

To you, is this possible?

How a medical procedure cost is calculated in the US is opague

You never know how much your final out-of-pocket costs will be

Having a health insurance doesn't save you from paying far far more than an estimated price for a common procedure

Isn't that crazy?

Star of the East
by Eugene Field

Star of the East!
Show us the way
In wisdom undefiled
To seek that manger out and lay
Our gifts before the child—
To bring our hearts and offer them
Unto our King in Bethlehem!

Have a jolly Christmas, everyone!

If approved, this type of savings account is powerful

A Universal Savings Account -

annual post-tax contributions of up to $10,000

tax-free withdrawals at any time for any purpose, without tax or penalty

phased out for single fillers with MAGI of $200,000 (MFJ $400,000)
Universal Savings Accounts Are Like Roth IRAs, But With a Twist
Universal Savings Accounts are a new type of tax-advantaged savings account proposed by Republican lawmakers and conservative think tanks. Think Roth IRAs, but not just for retirement.

Agree!

Likewise, for me, money is a tool -

to let us say "yes" or "no" at our own terms

to free time to do things important to us

to help people in need, and not just family and friends

A serious question

Can Elon Musk Vivek Ramaswamy answer this challenge -

and work with Dr Oz to curb private insurers' waste of taxpayers money?

👀
CMS nominee Dr. Oz is a strong supporter of Medicare Advantage. And there was good reason to be optimistic. MA companies promised they could improve care, provide extra benefits, & create more patient choice all while reducing costs. Sounds great. But that's not what happened. 1/x

I notice many people who say money does not "actually drive happiness" are those who have millions in their pockets - venture capitalists, for example

Seems that one must experience wealth first to determine whether money truly makes life happy

What do you think?
