The goal in my scenario was to help the girl find alternatives of adult community; exchanging a predatory man for a man who wants to play hero isn’t it. But when women step in, it isn’t an escalation. It feels like being invited into the adult circle without needing the predator.

Because I’ve heard enough of those conversations to know how they go? Because I’ve been a teenage girl being hit on by adult men & know how it would have felt?

Sure. But those convos shouldn’t be happening in front of the teenage girls. Whereas adult women deliberately choosing to tell predatory men they are gross in front of the girls WHILE being kind & accepting to the girls is a revolutionary act. It is the opposite of what white Christian women do.

It's so interesting that in the name of practicality we are urged to avoid any practical action; in the name of redemption we are urged to exonerate people who have shown no interest in redemption; in the name of civility we are urged to overlook the cruelty of those who scorn all civility
