Visit Town Creek June 7 & learn to use a spear thrower that dates to the last ice age. Proceeds benefit The Friends of Town Creek Indian Mound Inc., which supports programs at Town Creek Indian Mound.

The smoke hole in the townhouse roof at Town Creek acts as a camera obscura, & is especially dramatic on windy, partly cloudy days. A camera obscura is a unit that projects images of the outside world onto a dark surface, from the Latin words camera meaning "room" & obscura meaning "dark.”
