After fixing the Repair Bay I went back to the Mission View and tweaked it a little. I wasn't really happy with the fact that you couldn't see if the mission was moving, fighting or idling.

The Mission View window is pretty much done! I made some low level changes to unit missions where I'll be tracking them on "units lost" versus "current HP" over "max HP" which will undoubtedly break the Repair Bay.

Took a bit of a detour today. I've been unhappy with saturation on the IPS/OLED modded #gameboy Color, and manually tweaking or figuring out a good desaturation algo just hasn't paid off, so I built an in-game colour palette tester.

Making progress! The Active Missions window will display a summary of each mission with the mission's remaining unit count, experienced weather, current position and destination. You can then drill down each mission summary.

Quick WIP screenshot of the Logistics building’s main window. In short it functions like a drone controller; lose power or the building gets destroyed, and your units will stop moving.

Been spending some time implementing the fission reactor into SATTERM. Fuel cells, while provided for free, are limited by USC. Also there's a warm-up/cool-down time for the reactor, so aim not to get attacked.

Been busy with power management systems for SATTERM. The latest inclusion is the humble solar array! Solar effectivity will be affected by the position of the sun relative to your base, and the weather effects currently there.

Finished some low level rewrites to take care of bugs with the map query feature, and then also had some time to squeeze in a new background for the homescreen! Rebooting your #GameBoy will change the layout of the background's stars every time.

So while it's intended for SATTERM to have a physical manual explaining ✨things✨, I ended up building and finishing the dictionary feature and super happy with it!

The dictionary can be accessed by pressing Select on windows with abbreviations.

Finally finished up the Repair Bay! The UI automatically updates as units get repaired and their batteries recharged. Once fully repaired all the units move back to the player's inventory allowing them to redeploy them on missions.

Units returning from transfers or defending the main base will be put into the repair bay to be repaired before they can be used again.

Righto, so life has finally let up a bit so I can focus on SATTERM. I had to rewrite the entire cursor handling logic to be more versatile, which has now allowed me to create more complex UIs. Video below shows the unit transfer preparation screen.

Life's been getting in the way, however I've added CGB support which initially I was a bit against doing.
Different UI elements get loaded into VRAM based on if a DMG or CGB is running the game.
