And the two people are very close, to the point of wanting to be life partners. But at the same time, queerplatonic partners experience low amounts of romantic attraction. My QPP and I, for example, often describe our relationship as being akin to two very close siblings.

Though to really clarify, the idea of queerplatonic leans somewhat on the breakdown of different types of attraction (romantic, platonic, aesthetic, etc.). When someone says they are in a queerplatonic relationship, they are likely experiencing one or more of the other types of attraction strongly.

Figured I'd follow up on this myself as someone in a queerplatonic relationship! This is pretty spot-on as a definition. The lines are blurry, and that's also in a way part of the point! When choosing to use queerplatonic, part of that choice is to avoid the traditional labels of attraction.
