I took a look at the data you linked me to, and that is really interesting. It really underlines your points. I made a Tree map and a map of which states put together are roughly +- 5,000 sq MI the total farm area for each type!

Concrete update: Never Post looks pretty cool, next time I'll invert. For everything else, science happened, the kind of science where you had fun but it totally didn't work. It didn't cure, I suspect because I used too much water in the mix and because sugar is known to stop concrete from curing

I'm excited because after work I'm going to have my first concrete art day of the year. Experiments include using turmeric to turn concrete yellow and carving text into Styrofoam and casting that.
