LOL! So true, the best shots are often unplanned. A brief glimpse as one is driving, jump out of the car, dash to catch the moment!

600 f/4 + 2x extender to get that focal length. Many of my shots are more easily handheld with a 400 f/4 with or without a 1.4x or 2x extender. Tough to handhold the 600 for any length of time anymore!

After the print is laminated to the acrylic, a black backer is laminated to the back of the print. After mounting, I polish the edges to 7000 grit, then a wood frame is mounted to the back, and the framing wire added for hanging. Takes a lot of time! The results are worth it though!

I will have to check that out! We get a lot of eagles congregating to feed on salmon in the Skagit River in the winter months.
