A progressive board game lover who will always care more about who is at the table than what game is on it.

Board game accessibility, and community.

He/him
Same!

And the plus is that even though I NEVER thrift for the intention of reselling, when I do occasionally have to make space, I usually come out a little ahead.

That is bananas! And at a Savers?!??!? One of my unluckiest stores.

My whole collection is thrifted, but we are talking an average of .3 good finds per thrift stop.

I remembered it’s the same mechanic that pandemic uses to manage city cards.

Cool! Sounds like you are well on your way!!!

I think random farmer checks could be tough to strategize around. Have you played forbidden island? I think the way it manages the flood deck is an example of a great way to have randomness you can plan around!

Cool!
Is it a 2 player game where one player is chicken and one is farmer?

I’m no expert at design and have published nothing, but I love dabbling!

I have always come up with a mechanism first, then struggle to put theme to it.

Is the idea you have a theme or a concept for mechanics?

Obviously there are party games, and We Didn’t Playtest This came to mind, but what about strategy games? I think you could do something pretty cool with mid game entry, but I can’t think of any games that plan for it.

Mine would be…..

15 different games scribbled down in various places.

How many games have I attempted to design? 15.
