Started watching the knitting thing (it's just Bake Off with wool and needles) and it's pretty inoffensive overall, but in the episode I just watched, they all just knitted ridiculous outfits for scrawny dogs and it's one of the worst things I've ever seen on television. Absolutely horrible.

Incidentally, I saw Inside No. 9 - Stage/Fright again yesterday and I cannot adequately express what an absolute *joy* it is. If you have any way of getting to a theatre and seeing it, before it's gone forever, then I strongly urge you to. It's utterly brilliant. Even the second time. Maybe moreso.

Had a lovely gig at Chesham Comedy Club tonight. Previously, the only thing I knew about Chesham was that Alex Horne lives there. Now I know that there's also a comedy club with the most delightful audience.

Just had somebody comment 'pointless' on one of our videos, and it fills me with a kind of glee to know that the sort of person that would bother writing that under a light-hearted comedy video just wasted three minutes of their life watching it.

Grateful for the text layout on this poster. Until now, I'd been calling them 'The Overt Ones'.

In other news, last night I gigged at my local micropub - a five minute stroll from my front door - with one of my favourite comics currently on the scene. The gig went well. I got to have a few beers afterwards & a lady even offered to buy a drink for me, because she enjoyed our set so much. Nice.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother. Then I remember that I don't, generally.

I reckon the most painful thing that could happen to a giant is that they step on Legoland in bare feet.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Today is, of course, the 5th of November - a day when we think of Guy Fawkes. Many of you will be familiar with the sad story behind these two signatures.
The top one being his usual signature. The bottom one being his signature when he signed for a parcel on one of those handheld device thingies.

I like that so many of the acts announced for Latitude can be made into a little story about an evening out gone wrong.

Turns out that there are still some tickets left for our show with Ian Smith, at my brilliant local micropub. If you can get to Southbourne (in Bournemouth) on Wednesday, you'd be an idiot not to. Don't be an idiot.

Brassic was such great television. The first few series were - honestly - so good. Just watched the final episode and... it's not quite what I might have hoped for, given how good the good bits were but overall it's much better than 90% of shite that's on TV.

My daughter just turned 13. I'm now the proud owner of not one but two teenage children. That makes me feel very very old indeed. Still - happy birthday to my little Hallowe'en-themed legend.
