Ive given it a wipe down with machine oil already :) it was sticky with the gunk before. I was hoping to remove more of the caked-on stuff particularly around the decals, but i don't want to remove them or the finish so I'll be very careful moving forward.

I couldn't find the original formula locally :( its a water-less hand cleaner found in the automotive section, very soft. I did scrub this bit with a green pad to try and get through the gunk. (Gently and only in this spot.)

I misread the caption as Cathy and Jean at home, and naturally assumed the cat's name was Jean (pronounced the French way). How sophisticated 😂

I made this dress in 2023 and it was just too wide across the shoulder. Lasy year i remade the bodice and added the sleeves.

For many years now (i have receipts going back to 2018). I want to find the balance between things that fit and don't make me feel like i want to crawl out of my skin, and a fashion level that suits my lifestyle while honouring my love of historical fashion. (2/2)
