This turd scratched me rather badly today, using my knee as part of her Indy 500 race track. On the other hand, she did catch and dispose of two of my least favourite bugs so... i guess I'll forgive her.

Yesterday i wore my @charmpatterns.bsky.social Scout dress. It's made of dark brown cotton sateen and the colour delights me as it reminds me of my old Brownies uniform. That's a wrap on #memademay2025

Well, vintage machine enthusiasts of BlueSky, I used a GoJo-like cleaner to try and get at this spot. Do we think this is the varnish coming up or the truly thick amount of a minimum half-century of gunk and grime? (All that alligatoring on the right? Gunk and grime.)

I have settled on my #memademay2025 goal. This is the first year I've ever felt like i could participate! I want to wear at least one me-made outfit per week, and to continue building my handmade wardrobe. I know creating new is not the goal, but it is something I've been wanting to do (1/2)

Accidentally deleted my original post 🤦 this is a tshirt i converted to a camisole and when I tell you i wear this *a lot*, i mean *a lot*. A+ decision, well done me. It is my only piece for #memademay2025 today as my team is in playoffs and it was game day! Wore it under my jersey. Go Oilers go!!!

Finished my NYE MKAL socks (hosted by @comfycozyknits.bsky.social ) at last. Only a month late, but at an entirely appropriate time thanks to third or fourth winter. Also for #the100dayproject day 34.

At the time i was living with roommates who were very allergic to cats so i wanted every moment i could get. Little did i know that the situation would change in just three months, and two kittens had picked me out as the biggest sucker. And they were right.

Just my chin visible (with a lovely cystic acne spot on it) and wearing a black tshirt with a green design printed on it (from my favourite show), now with a blurry Calcifer under my chin and an equally blurry black butt in the left corner. Calcifer's gorgeous markings are visible - the iconic M on her forehead, stripey leg and side, and a pale belly with a couple stripes and spots!

A few days later they are now bravely exploring the entire apartment! I am a new and exciting climbing aparatus for them (thank goodness for a denim jacket!), except for Kushana, who has always been wary of me. This age is FUN as they are so excited about everything!
Chihiro climbed into my hand and too a nap. Her paws are curled over my fingers and her sweet little head is turned to the right. I am wearing a black shirt with green and pink flowers on it. Another view of Chihiro asleep in my hand. My jacket is now visible and im smiling bc omg this is so damn cute!!!! The photo is backlit thanks to an open gap in the curtains behind us. Only a slice of my smiling face is visible as the focus is on baby Sophie asleep pn my shoulder. She climbed her way up there and played for a moment, and then fell asleep. At four weeks old, the kittens are more energetic and more curious about their surroundings! I remember this was on Easter bc i came to visit twice that day. They are able to stand and walk better and are starting to run and climb! It is impossible to get a clear photo of any of them.

At three weeks old, the kittens are getting brave and starting to explore outside their nest! Photos are dark bc i could mostly only visit in the evenings and YOU try getting photos of wiggly dark babies in a dark room at night! Mama Peri is v. suspicious of me but lets me handle them.
Baby Sophie, the larger of the "twins", sits ungracefully on a red towl. She is looking to the left. Her whiskers are very short and her ears have started to pop up. Each perfcet foot and her perfect itty bitty tail are visible, as is one of the other kitten's butt (left) All four babies in their nest. Calcifer the tabby is most indentifiable in the back left, with one black kitten in focus facing forward in front of her. The other two are on the right, mostly only visible as separate black blobs. Baby Kushana! Her ears are at 10 and 2 and her face is out of focus with big dewy eyeballs but her paws are clear. She has longer grey-tipped fur that is forming distinct clumps. Baby Chihiro (i think) politely sits against a black backpack. Her head is tilted curiously and her ears are up. She has some longer, lighter hairs visible on her right leg and her paws are side by side with individual toes discernable.

My sibling named them after some of our favourite Ghibli movie characters: Kushana (Nausicaa; the largest and fluffiest kitten), Chihiro (Spirited Away; one of the "twins"), Sophie (Howl's Moving Castle; the other twin), and Calcifer (Howl's Moving Castle, the tabby and smallest)

Happy 2nd birthday to my terror twins! These lil jellybeans crashed into my life when they were born in my sibling's closet and have made me laugh every day since!

#the100dayproject days 17-20: mostly knitting, a little fabric cataloging, a whole lot of planning (listen, planning is a whole different hobby, but i am pleased to say that ive started to collect an entire spring wardrobe).

Day 9 of #the100dayproject: building a swatchbook/inventory of my fabric! This bin was a bit mixed, and i want to keep certain fabrics together so they aren't catalogued yet.
