Being terrible at video games, talking about, planning, and running DnD, and other nerdy shenanigans.

I teach music as my day job and we do that on stream sometimes too!

This is entirely on brand, and yet I have several questions 😂

It's incredibly frustrating that these AI platforms are just being embedded everywhere.

I genuinely miss Clippy, because Clippy couldn't lie to me. He'd offer to help or to find something for me, and if he couldn't (rare) he'd say so.

You also had to TOGGLE HIM ON TO USE HIM GAHH.

Plus basically the entire ruleset across all the books is easily searchable on a reference site/app.

I love a book for flipping through for inspiration, but if I need rules at the table I prefer that to be a fast process.

I've run like 4 pf2e sessions and I might have a new favorite

Story and characters, but I also tend to be picky about table talk to actual gameplay ratio. I like hearing the people pal around and enjoying themselves, but I don't really need to hear the whole 45 minute side track, especially since I'm listening in chunks usually.

But they are also similar in that they are both precious darling babies that can do no wrong.

My favorite from players is some variation of "oh my God." Or "holy sh*t" as they put setting pieces together and how things are tied in.

Followed by *my* favorite, "What do you mean? That's ridiculous. You're being crazy right now."

Gaslight, Gatekeep, Game Master 😇

Describing a flesh golem, and defining it as different from a zombie with "This one looks really jacked. Like, Dwayne Johnson level."

Another player jokingly refers to it as Steve Austin.

I rename it in the combat tracker, and decide the second one is Macho Man Randy Savage.

if you're having trouble finding a reason to keep moving then you can, like me, cling desperately to the goodness of being of service to others and fighting for them, and even if your mind and heart are as heavy inside you as lead just let your feet keep carrying you forward and forward and forward
