It's a weird manga tonally but I'm enjoying Hoshin Engi. Sci-fi sort-of-retelling of a famous Chinese epic about gods and demons but with some fun Toriyama-esque metahumor

Also always a great power-scaling trick in any magic system - spells that require some kind of ritual to cast, but that advanced practicioners can skip (possibly as a tradeoff for lower power). Aizen makes a big deal later on when hes able to cast a spell after doing the whole (lengthy) incantation

rereading Bleach (again) at the moment and remembering a lot of things I like about it. One of these is the kidō chants they do when they cast advanced spells, which (at least as far as I can tell) are just like cool-sounding abstract poems

really like the animation on SF6 sagat, the way he holds himself... he'd gotten a bit generically muscly and chunky in the last few games, he looms a bit more awkwardly like he did in his sf2 sprite this time, it's more fun to make him a bit gangly.
