Shouldn’t the question be “what did this serve as a distraction for”?

The same people that normally would be furious at the government interfering in their lives, but are so busy celebrating they are winning the culture war against having to use someone’s requested pronouns that they have relinquished any concern about their fundamental rights. (3)

* Right to & availability of public health services
* Stable Social Security

This was always the plan. Due to an elaborate Republican plot + years of Russian state interference, cultural issues are so vilified (trans athletes, DEI, etc), their constituents believe these are a greater threat to our nation than (1)

When you own the military and the police with no checks/balances and no other mechanism for enforcement of laws, the rule of law does not exist.

The entire point of this is to destabilize government to “prove” it doesn’t work so they can privatize and give those contracts to billionaires to get richer. None of this is about fiscal responsibility or fixing the budget or any other garbage they try to claim.

I’m glad to see this being called a coup, although it has been obvious pretty much from Day 1 that is exactly what this is.
