I'm going out on a limb here, but...
I think the reason Trump is fighting paying SNAP benefits is because that money has already been unlawfully redirected to fund one or more of his pet projects.
Like maybe his ballroom?

Even if the House CR bill passes as is, at the very least, it would remove all stated reasons given by Johnson to not recovene the House.
That would mean Grijavla would be sworn in, sign the discharge petition, and force a House vote to release the Epstein files.
