They probably thought saying that would make them look better, but I feel like it's a major self-report if anything

Benson: (groans and walks off) I'm gonna go take my weekly 5-hour-long break.

Mordecai: Sounds good!

Rigby: Mind if we join you?

(Mordecai elbows Rigby to get him to shut up.)

Rigby: Oof!

Benson: So, was your little distraction worth it?

Rigby: Hey, we still did a full day's work! You gotta give us that!

Benson: I would if it didn't mean letting this happen again to get you to do ANYTHING around here!

Mordecai: (shrugs) Eh, it still beat taking out the hornet's nest.

A big action set piece ensues, causing the nest to ultimately explode and cover the area in nest chunks and goop. The shed is also destroyed, obviously.

As Mordecai and Rigby are still reeling from the whole thing, the episode ends with the following exchange:

Because of their procrastination, the hornet's nest consumes the shed, expanding further underground and finally becoming an entire society of bee people. Mordecai and Rigby have to destroy it before the Queen Bee expands the nest to the rest of the park and eventually the world.
