Umimiko is Umibōzu Umibōzu (海坊主, "sea priest") sea-spirit that appears to sailors on calm seas which quickly turn tumultuous. The safest way to escape an umibōzu is to give it a bottomless barrel and sail away while it is confused. The myths varies through regions. In classic literature there's stories where the Umibōzu appears an ask the sailors ''I am fearsome?''. If they answer bravely ''No'' the Umibōzu dissapears. If the answer is yes or yelling help, the Umibōzu advice to not sail during that month.

here is the time series of engagements (sum of comments, reposts, likes) from the two platforms.

Note that I have 39K followers on twitter and 7K here, so engagement per follower here is more than 10 times higher here on bluesky.
