Day 1 - 7 miles in 90° heat starting at Cascade Locks and heading uphill into Washington wilderness. We would camp at the last water source before a 12 mile dry section.

I have my 2025 WA PCT thru hiker permit for this year.

I've wanted to hike this section in particular since the 90s when I did it with my parents.

I've been working toward this for 3 years. Afraid it would disappear before I would get the chance.

Little did I know just how soon that would be.
