Walking through wet wooded Woolston, a spot of fungal interest. Pterula multifida, Xylaria polymorpha (my 1st sighting), Scleraderma citrinum (with a longer stem than I’m used to). Finally a teeny bit of jelly fungus. #fungi #fungifriends #nature 🍄

We nearly didn't get there - a 10k run, a cycle race and a pony round up affected our route and destination.
Worth the perseverance when we finally got to walk in the New Forest near Brockenhurst. One rotten log, 3 slime moulds.

Visited Dersingham Bog on two occasions just a couple of days apart. Big difference in the number of mushroom species on the second day following some serious rain. Splendid pair of Blackening Waxcap, or for US viewers, Witches Hat. #Fungi #Mushrooms #MushroomMonday #DersinghamBog

I was behind the times and hadn’t realised the Engrailed and the Small Engrailed had united as one species. Ya live and learn. Very happy to find this one taking the air on a gatepost. #MothsMatter #Moths #Ento #TeamMoth
