Yes, Thames Water is widely seen as a massive cautionary tale, both about the privatization of utilities (which the UK did a lot of, and now regrets), and the investment in such utilities by big pensions. On a fun related note, Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) owns 32% of TW!

Seems like a good day to re-post this. All public institutions in Canada, including CBC and every level of government, should ditch Xitter immediately - it’s a racist, fascist filth factory run by Nazi-loving Apartheid Clyde.
If we are serious about preserving Canada’s democracy and sovereignty, Canadian institutions need to stop tolerating the intolerant! 👇 Amongst other things, that means blocking X, Rebel and others making $$ from purposefully purveying disinformation and division.
