This is it. I also didn't have parents bringing me up on The Beatles. I was fed 80s synthpop, a lot of which I now can take or leave.

Even just last month, my mum turned her nose up at 70s and 60s music in general - I'll win her round though! The only one she can't stand so far is Tom Waits 😂
