TL;DR -- talk to your people, even those you disagree with, about building collective power! Find common ground but take no shit! Stop exploiting yourself for the ruling class!!!

We (all) deserve to feel safe, to be fed, to be housed, to have access to healthcare and education, clean water and clean air, and there are absolutely enough resources to make this a reality. But we need the F*x News faithful to snap out of it and see their exploitation for what it is. 9/

I hope those of us actively trying to resist fascism will still be willing to have these conversations with people we oppose—especially those of us with the privilege of not being immediately obvious targets for violence (looking at you, straight white men and women). 8/

Your rage is profitable. Your despair is profitable. Your trust is profitable. They will take everything from you and convince you it's your fault. I'm not saying anything new, but listen: if they can keep us poor and angry at each other, they can keep themselves rich. 7/

Unfortunately, most people in this country are in such tenuous financial positions that the thought of withholding labor (as in a general strike) is an impossible, or, at the very least, terrifying concept (health insurance is a grift and a major factor as well). This is by design! 6/

So let's think about what terrifies the corporations and billionaires. I truly believe that if the oligarchy gets even a whiff of class solidarity starting to build, the foundation cracks. Our bodies, our labor, our consumption—this is how our worth is measured in times of unregulated capitalism. 5/

I keep coming back to this: racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, colorism, and ableism all inform and prop up capitalist hierarchy. They are real problems with real body counts. But today's conservatives have been sold the idea that a rising tide for ME means a shipwreck for YOU. 4/

This is something to be solved. Capitalism has no morals: profit no matter the cost. F*x News made almost 14 billion dollars in 2024. When it becomes so profitable to lie, why tell the truth? How do we talk about it? To start: somebody's poisoned the water hole. 3/

To admit they've been deceived would be to admit their reality isn't reality at all. They won't do it on their own. Whatever else you can say about these viewers—whatever reprehensible beliefs they hold—they are victims of one of the most successful and sinister brainwashing campaigns in history. 2/

I keep thinking of the line in A Christmas Carol—"If they would rather die," said Scrooge, "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population." This seems to be the GOP's prevailing ethos when it comes to healthcare, climate change, poverty, gun control... Our lives literally do not matter.
