I don’t have a lot of tools other bookbinders might use, so I had to improvise a lot. I’m not sure I’ll stick with this method, but I’m glad I gave it a proper try, and I’m really happy with how this turned out. 💖📚 Thank you to this book for being so patient and kind to me.

I tried the case binding method for the first time since I attempted it for a uni project a bajillion years ago and probably failed the entire subject (uni was rough man).
Now that I am a much more confident bookbinder nearly 20 years later, this is my redemption arc. 🙌

Accordion hinge / Australian binding! Yhis bookbinding method does not require sewing, and is extremely nifty. 📚
Harder to get the precision right, but being able to easily remove and replace the pages is really cool, and could be useful for people using them as sketchbooks/etc.! 📚🌟

How does posting on Bsky work if theres no algorithm?
- Use # tags!
- Follow and post to feeds you like
- Post at peak day times!
- Repost often!
- Be active in the comments!
- Encourage people to share your posts!
This is how the internet used to work and it worked fine back then, so don’t worry!

I cannot stress enough that algorithms actually removed the "social" aspect from social media. But it wasn't just social because you're posting about your life. It's social because you like... Talked to people and made friends once upon a time.

A coptic stitch notebook with French link stitches added over strips of chiyogami, and then the strips pulled through slits in the cover, because apparently I like making things more difficult for myself.
This one got a bit messy and needs more planning for future books. 🤔

Seeing people dismiss the Discord DomoAI thing because they read text that made it *sound* like it's opt in is so infuriating. Don't just trust what the corporation claims! You can literally go into Discord, hover over *someone else's* image post, and see all the AI options pop up! Anyone can do it!
