Very lucky! And it’s so helpful to get to see my writing from an external perspective too, she’s the best!

That’s true. I’m lucky that my Mum even helps to edit - above and beyond the standard parent-child contract!

It's definitely me, I did this to my parents not half an hour ago!
Fortunately, they didn't seem to mind. 😊

I'd be so pleased if you read my short story, The Integr8tion Institute, that's on Amazon, and let me know what you think! It's free if you have Kindle Unlimited.
It's the first thing I've written, so I really need some feedback on my writing!

I’ve sold a grand total of 5! It’s my first book, a novella, and I’d obviously like to have sold more - not just for the money, but more importantly, to get some feedback on my writing. It was still very rewarding and worthwhile nonetheless, and I’m now working on the next one!

The Bard's Tale on the Spectrum, my introduction to the world of CRPGS. I'm still firmly in that world with Baldur's Gate 3!

I’m trying to give myself a reasonable amount of time to find the right phrase before I make myself write the gist of what I’m trying to say and then move on. I read the last few paragraphs too when I return to write, if I do too many I end up rewriting them instead of moving the story forward!

No kids of my own, but during the Covid lockdowns I wrote and read out my own short stories for my nieces and put them on YouTube. 14 stories and a few years later, my eldest niece is a budding writer herself!

Congratulations! It's not shallow to celebrate the fruits of years of hard work!

I was lucky to have a few friends and family that proof-read my first novella for me (just self-published it on Amazon KDP), but without more people reading it, it's hard to figure out how to improve it and my writing. Still a rewarding experience getting the story out of my head into the world!
