Not too sure what to make of that lineup but regardless what I really want to see today is some intent to control the game and an ability to play through a press and get in behind them #COYS

Well that was an insipid half of football. Absolutely no bravery on the ball in build up and so much hitting it long into 50/50 challenges that turn over possession. So many tentative touches and passes as well. Hope the second half is better. #coysky

I thought there were encouraging signs in that first half performance despite the lack of open play chances. There were some more risks taken in build up with P and B both receiving back to goal between the lines on numerous occasions and looking to play forward. #COYS

If there was ever a game of football I didn’t want to watch it’s this one:

* it will probably be a free flowing, high scoring from open play, blockbuster now that I’ve said this.

A nice take on Ange’s misstep at Forest. For those wanting an alternative to whatever the Guardian is dishing up.
Not many people will conflate Ange Postecoglou’s 39-day tenure at Nottingham Forest with that of the two-time European Cup winner, Brian Clough.

I (kinda) didn’t either, but couldn’t resist a quote from the great man to illustrate where Ange went wrong.

Spoiler alert - it was right at the start.
How a Brian Clough quote sums up Ange's mistake at Forest
Ange Postecolgou was on a hiding to nothing at Nottingham Forest, his sacking the result of terrible recruitment and a knee-jerk appointment.

Decent first half performance there and another hint at new unseen levels of Ange pragmatism. One of the criticisms I’ve heard most this season is that he doesn’t adapt the game plan to match the players available. I guess thus far this is what that looks like. #COYS

Cotton wool option it is then. I’ll be really interested to see if United do the same thing later.
Your Spurs side 👊

I know it’s asking too much and my expectations are set appropriately but it would be so good if the rotational hotspur eleven pulled a big performance out of somewhere today. #COYS

There is obviously a lot of angst amongst the Tottenham Hotspur #COYS faithful right now about the state of the league table, and rightfully so. While trying to make sense of this I keep coming back to the Europa league and the impact playing on such short rest has had on the league this season. 1/6

There really can’t be another meltdown en masse today if the performance of the heavily rotated team doesn’t match the non-rotated team can there @ownbrand.bsky.social? Surely.

Meanwhile that is an incredibly brave header from Madders. He knows he’s going to get absolutely clattered and sticks his head in there for #COYS anyway.

Whatever happens this evening, all I ask is that we get Joe Hart on co-comms. This is key. #COYS #JoeIn

Absolutely massive 5 fixtures incoming for @tottenhamhotspur.com, all winnable even without Romero and VdV and a chance to get the season back on track.
