US Marine Corps 250th birthday November 10.
Came into this world 11-10-1775 at Tun Tavern Philadelphia.
Where else but a bar?
I was a 81mm mortarman 0341 from 1974-77 and thankfully avoided any actual combat.
But almost blew up some naval officers once due to miscalculation by fire control team.

I bought some new blankets. I got a bunch of European surplus wool blankets at the army navy store in the 90s & between me and the greyhounds they took a beating but still holding out OK.
But it was time for new ones.

This is how I do it. Dry with the bag inverted over the top of the bucket.
A LOT easier and quicker.
Can't tell any difference in the quality. It's good hash.

Washington hawthorn berries. There wasn't a robin around here all summer until a few weeks ago when the woodbine berries ripened and now they decided these berries are ripe and there's a whole flock of them.
