We went to see The Importance Of Being Ernest this afternoon.
Waiting for my wife to come out of the toilets I found myself standing beside a trans woman, she was a living explanation of the final line of the play: “[she’s] been Ernest all the time”.

Yesterday my granddaughter was resistant to putting on her jumper before going outside. We told her she would get cold, back came the reply, “that’s OK I’ve had my flu vaccination!” She is only 4 what is she going to be like at 14!

Today we were visited by my grown up children & my little grandchildren, possibly only those of you who also blessed with grandchildren will know the happiness this brings me. I wish I could tell my parents I now understand & my grandparents that I hope I brought them similar joy.

Forgive me if I’m being rather slow, but for the last 20 years it’s been my perception that the BBC is biased AGAINST the left, but now I’m told the BBC is biased FOR the left, to prove this the BBC have mobilised every right wing commentator they can find.

I was in Central London. Lots of poppy sellers, reminded me of time in 80s, noticing Elderly Sikh gentleman with more medal ribbons than I’d ever seen selling poppies at Chancery Lane, & as I thought this I saw a guy in uniform w/ so many medals it was a wonder he didn’t walk lopsided

Today, I am meeting an old friend for lunch in London. It seems strange being at the station on my own; my wife shared words of advice as though I hadn’t spent 40+ years travelling to London!

I’m at the local GP surgery. I’m here for my flu vax, I hate going to the surgery, it’s full of sick people & I’m convinced I’m going Togo home with something worst than I already have, but today there is a guy sitting 3 feet away playing loud marching music on his phone. wtf!

Everywhere I look I keep coming across the expression “clap back”. It’s really annoying me, it’s a daft expression, what’s wrong with “push back”? Which clearly explains what it means. As for “clap back”, why not “skip back” or “hop back”, or even “fingers on lips” back?

I’ve just picked 8kg of quince off a single tree. This is the 1st year I’ve had more than a couple of fruits from it and I’m very pleased, it’s still quite a small tree.
