Duluth guy. Muso for over three decades. Also: writer, ex-TV worker, debtor, and possessor of crippling, unyielding death anxiety. I'm fun!
This is easy.

Would the Nazis be pro- or anti- "woke," as it's been defined by the right?

You know the answer, and you therefore know which side is the wrong one to be on.

Complaining about things being woke is being on the wrong side of history and decency.

It's gonna be so frustrating when, after he dies, all the evidence comes out because no one can benefit from it anymore, and it turns out he was even worse than we'd imagined, and Republicans will scold us for living in the past when we try to remind them they voted for him.

DID YOU KNOW? When you say "Thanks for coming to my TED Talk," you momentarily become the most boring person on the face of the Earth.

The @cbseveningnews.bsky.social is leagues better than NBC's, which is just cookie-cutter garbage without any humanity to it and no perspective. CBS is leading with reality and truth in an era in which that is discouraged by corporatism.

BJ Vance turned Catholic just in time to kill one pope and learn that his replacement thinks he's a douche. God works in mysterious, hilarious ways!

Somewhere in the bowels of our government, they know exactly what Trump's being blackmailed by Russia with. But they're not telling us. They're waiting for something. I don't know why.

The thing people don't understand about Trump is that he CANNOT admit wrongdoing. It would destroy his entire persona as a stable genius. Narcissists cannot admit they were wrong. So humans will suffer in prisons unjustly to keep his ego intact. Lunacy.

Sometimes, I wonder if humanity has a built-in drive towards suicide. Like, maybe nature has made it so we destroy ourselves every so often. A controlled burn or a herd-culling. Maybe mass stupidity and ignorance is the trigger. Things don't make sense during these times because they don't need to.

If there's a future America, high-school kids will stare out a window while a teacher drones on about how America in the 2020s collapsed because social media was weaponized by the rich to turn peoples' brains into soup so they could be robbed easily.

Religion is the worst thing ever invented because it makes people think that God almighty gives a fuck about them and will even grant them wishes if they kiss enough ass.

It trained them perfectly for Trump, anyway.

Why do we love failed businessmen and people who inherit wealth? Do we worship what we wish we were?
March 3, 2025 at 7:12 PM
We all understand that Elon is having so many kids because he wants them to all run the world after he dies, right? And that he's laying the groundwork for a global rule by the scions of Musk one day? He wants to destroy governments that would stop him? We're handing Earth to an idiot? Yeah?

We just can't seem to figure it out as a nation, can we? Racism used to be about saying the n-word in public and burning crosses and murder. Now, it's complaining about DEI and wokeness and screaming about how liberals are the "real" racists. Different flavors, same dish.

"Never" is when you can expect the right wing to admit they're wrong. The Nazis at Nuremberg couldn't even admit wrongdoing -- they were just taking orders. Do not expect satisfaction from them. Just stop them.

Imagine if the press teamed up and only ever asked Trump why he lied about stopping the war on Ukraine in the first 24 hours. Just hammer him.

It's the feeling of helplessness and their unwillingness to explain their actions. These people are bad. We know this. But how bad? How far will they go? How far can their disdain for decency carry them? And how do we just sit here and feel shame and embarrassment and unease?

The Republican party is going after the 1.6% of Americans who are trans because they want to see what you'll do about it. If it's nothing, eventually they'll come for you, too.

The human brain is not meant to endure an endless scroll of alarming news. The zone they're flooding is our minds.

Trapped in a nation of diagnosing doctors and nary a surgeon can be found.

Some journalist should ask him about this and see if arguing with himself causes him to malfunction and blink out of this material plane.

Just sitting here wondering if, as science has made religion less and less believable, a new religion has been conjured up to require adherence to in the face of sound logic. A political religion that demands obedience. One led by an obvious charlatan. Maybe MAGA is moving from cult to religion?

Maybe Presidential pardon power was a huge fucking mistake.

RFK sounds like a Teddy Ruxpin in dire need of a battery change.

The biggest disappointment of my life is seeing how gullible people really are.

Paywalling news and keeping poor people from having access to reality will surely be determined by future historians to be one of the main reasons our democracy died.
