I said something similar about going to the grocery store the day before Thanksgiving. I refuse to do it, because all the amateurs are out. Like amateur drinkers who only come out to bars on St Pats and other major drinking holidays, they ruin it for the pros.

It is also pretty good at summarizing things you weren’t going to read anyway, if trained on a relevant body of material.

I’ve tried to use LLMs a few times for work things and my read is that it’s only useful for things you were going to BS your way through anyway and did not really deserve human effort. Anyone with the *slightest* expertise will dramatically outperform AI, every time.

I have a dot-com fire sale Aeron also! In 2000, some jabronis outfitted an entire floor of a building in the Chicago loop and went poof before anyone used it. It was a “they’ll take cash, how quick can you get here” situation. I still use it every day.

That is bad, but I’ve been waiting for an AT&T fiber installer to show up at my office for 3 days now. Are they coming tomorrow? Are we even on the schedule? Who can say. No one knows.
