What in the newspeak is that crap? How limiting the vocabulary disabled people are exposed to helps them in any way shape of form? I swear the world feels like a fractal of evil, sometimes 😕

I saw that and my brain nearly short-circuited. If I was in the room when this chart was presented I think I would have committed physical violence.

For the whole time I was an actual, active church member (which was at least 10+ years), I remember seeing this stuff getting called out only twice, and only once in the actual pulpit. Not gonna say it's THE reason I became atheist, but it was surely a factor.

I vaguely remember a similar situation on ARM Macs, where process could communicate in a hidden way by doing some weird stuff with the registers? It also wasn't a security issue because both processes had to be engaging in the same fuckery for it to work at all. Anyway, very cool!

Fun fact, in Portugal they do use centiliters for beverages, still bugs my brain every time.

Like, I admire the commitment, but a lifetime of using exclusively liters and milliliters has all but removed the knowledge of the existence of centiliters from my brain.

That looks cool, but slightly tangentially, congratulations on having a non-evil tech thing named after something from Tolkien's mythology, you might be the first =P
