Reporting on the climate cannot leave it at "We may breach 1.5 degrees...now over to the sports results". 1.5 is meaningless (even attractive) to the uninitiated. The implications need to be spelt out, including that breached climate tipping points mean decline will be irreversible and unstoppable.

On Sunday, Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick attended a rally organised by the Homeland Party – described as one of the UK’s largest fascist groups. Jenrick was photographed with Eddy Butler, co-founder of a Nazi terrorist organisation called Combat 18. Jenrick posted that photo himself.
