Should Gibb be sacked? yes, obviously. He's an abomination of basic journalistic standards. His GB News channel spreads conspiracy theory & disinformation. His Jewish Chronicle newspaper spreads invented stories. He is plainly trying to undermine the BBC so it's as bad as everything else he touches.

In January 2025 the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and Exeter University published a report that warned that 4 billion people could be killed at 3°C of global heating. It also warned that the strength of the various climate feedbacks means we could reach 3°C of global heating by the year 2050.

When I was in southern France last year, the crops had failed to the extent that a neighbouring farmer, seeing which way the wind was blowing, had switched from tomatoes to Spirolina, a famine crop. Desertification creeps northwards…
