Classic Doctor Who. Classic Comedy. Nice Things. Designer of quirky niche merch. But not necessarily in that order 🌻🧠
Started watching the 2 Point 4 Children Christmas Specials in the run up to the 25th. 90s nostalgia, mixed with genuinely funny and offbeat plots - can’t beat it. I think the one thing I do miss at Christmas is a new sitcom special to indulge in.

The Ladykillers. I caught it on the telly years ago; a bit of background noise that I was quickly enraptured by. Decided to buy the BluRay. Oh my god, what a film! The humour is subtle in places, but it’s genuinely funny.

Imagine the shit a woman would get if she dared bring her toddler, on her shoulders, into the White House Oval Office for a press conference…

“Nobody does anything about anything anymore” - possibly my favourite quote from any single sitcom. 25 years on, nothing has changed. But some still try. Thankfully.

Is it my (admittedly OCD) imagination, or is the BBFC 12 logo, on the spine of the standard Doctor Who Season 9 BluRay, slightly bigger than Season 8?

The War Games in Colour. To be fair, it did not disappoint… my expectations 😶 I genuinely hope the intended audience enjoyed it.

Quite amusing watching episodes of The Bill aired in January 1995, which were clearly filmed in late Summer/Autumn. The short sleeves kinda give it away 🤭

Now onto Series 11 (1995) of The Bill, as I attempt to map the various layouts of the station interior. (Also a good excuse to finally watch every available episode). Interesting to see how attitudes, characters and technology slowly develop.

Jeremy Clarkson, who owes his fame & fortune in large part to the BBC, sneers at the brilliant @vicderbyshire.bsky.social for being ‘classic BBC’ when she uses *his own words* to describe his position.
“So it’s not about you, it’s not about your farm and the fact you bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax?”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social speaks to Jeremy Clarkson at the farmers’ protest in Westminster where thousands of farmers are protesting the government’s inheritance tax plans.

Designing a scale plan of Sun Hill Police Station, circa early 90s (‘cos… reasons), and this cropped up on screen. I’m hoping one section has been amended for the sake of hiding production space, otherwise… it doesn’t really make sense 👀

Very tempted to pre order The Likely Lads 60th anniversary collection. But - the spine is wrong. Twenty odd years of the BBC logo being at the top, why go changing it now? 🥲
