So I rigger up a simple test on a breadbox and fiddled with it... and tried turning the gain down from 128 to 64 (?). And it seems to work!

Now to build another wind tunnel and see if I can measure downforce going up with speed...

I tried putting all the electronics on a "proper" PCB, made proper connectors for everything (to reduce the noise in the of wires?); I made the hole for the "spike" bigger to prevent it rubbing... still no good.

I first put this down to using a 5kg load scale to try and measure ~10mg of downforce; never going to be able to see that in the noise. So for the next iteration, I used a 100g weight scale (the model weighs ~30g) - but still too much noise!

I think the biggest upgrade is the WiFi - I always had reliability issues with Prusa Connect and my MK4, but the new WiFi module in the MK4S (an esp32 I think) is so much more reliable....
