The idea that we can change the world through politics is wearing a bit thin for me.
I’m thinking the best thing will be when the people realise that politics is a con. Most politicians are playing us for mugs.

Why are our governments so wedded to the Israeli project.
To the vast majority of us it is clearly so totally wrong and unacceptable to stand by and watch the daily killing of innocent people.
No explanations from the politicians ever - just blind support for Israel regardless.

Starmer’s Centrist government have turned the Labour Party in to the UK equivalent of the US Democrats.
Not a single intention to redistribute wealth more fairly. And as in US, driving the electorate to the Right.

Why would anyone invade the UK?
We have very few resources.
We have an ageing population.
We don’t like work.
There’s really not a lot here for greedy people.
But for some reason we need a huge defence budget.
Might it be because, wrongly, we still believe we are some kind of important world power?

We don’t need ‘growth’ and neither does the planet.
Satisfaction and happiness don’t come from wealth.
And if you are concerned about finding some money to give to the poor - that’s easy - the way to do that isn’t more wealth, the way to do that is to share out the wealth we already have.
